The highly-efficient Turbomiser chiller has received the top innovation award at the Chartered Institute of Building Services (CIBSE) Low Carbon Performance Awards 2010.

Turbomiser was developed by the UK companies Klima-Therm and Cool-Therm in close cooperation with the Italian producer Geoclima. It has been commended as “probably the most efficient HFC-based chiller in the world.”

“The accolade is a great start to what we are confident will be a highly successful year for Turbomiser. We already have a substantial number of projects in the pipeline with clients who are keen to harness the chiller’s outstanding low carbon performance,” declared Ken Strong, managing director of Cool-Therm.

The top innovation award at CIBSE Low Carbon Performance Awards 2010 is the latest in a series of prizes won by Turbomiser. It recently has been awarded Environmental Pioneer – Air Conditioning and Environmental Collaboration of the Year at the UK Cooling Industry Awards.
