The newly installed Siemon solar system supplies 216,000 KWh of electricity annually.

The facility also enables the company to cut its carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 373,000 pounds (186 tons) of CO2.

The solar plant, covering an area of 15,600 square-feet,  provides the yearly consumption of some 22 homes, show media sources. Its output is approximately 217 KW.

Siemon, a producer of IT network cabling and infrastructure, mounted the solar facility at its headquarters in Watertown, Conn.

Adding to its environmental initiatives, Siemon recycled or restructured the use of over 900 tons of waste last year. Relying on these measures, the company was able to further cut its carbon dioxide emissions by another 2,950 tons, according to company sources.
