INTL : Global PV market is headed to Asia

For three days (16 - 18 February 2011) will take place the largest exhibition and conference for solar energy worldwide, EXPO Solar/PV Korea 2011, at KINTEX Center, in Gyeonggi (South Korea).

EXPO Solar 2011 is the first exhibition of the year dedicated to the global solar market.
In addition to the new trends, there will be presented the products and services which will be merketed next year.

Derulating in the same time with EXPO Solar/PV Korea 2011, World Forum 2011 will bring together specialists in PV solar energy worldwide.
During the event, will be discussed the latest developments in photovoltaic technology and market.

Also, the experts predict that applications in solar power, this year, will be directed to Asia and United States. However, is expected an exponential growth in Asia, especially in South Korea.

In Korea, where will be applied the "Renewable Portfolio Standard" norm (RPS), starting in 2012, the companies invest heavily in developing of their solar activities.

Since its debut in 2009, EXPO Solar/PV Korea register a strong annual growth and is now considered one of the most important international solar exhibitions in Asia.

This year, over 300 companies from 30 different countries will present their innovations in about 1.000 booths.

Among local exhibitors, big names appear such as Hyundai Heavy Industries, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, and major players such as SKC, Daeyeong Metal, SFA, Hanmi Semiconductor, TES and Wooil Hightech.

Among foreign exhibitors are found most famous solar world leaders, including Schmid (Germany), Roth & Rau (Germany), DKSH (Germany), ET Solar (China) and Nisshinbo (Japan).
