Source of indoor air pollution

Some of the better known sources of indoor air pollution are fuel burning appliances, including gas, oil, wood, pellet stoves, and kerosene heaters. Tobacco is a major source of indoor air pollution. Glues and solvents from hobbies, and redecorating are also high on the list.

An air purifier is a device which removes contaminants from the air. These devices are commonly marketed as being beneficial to allergy sufferers and asthmatics, and at reducing or eliminating second-hand tobacco smoke.
